DV 2010 Results.

DV 2010 Results were already sent to those selected people all over the world. Sending the results was started from May 2009 and was completed in the month of July 2009. The winning notice package contained necessary DV lottery application forms and further instructions on how to proceed with the DV lottery selection.

All the winning notifications were been sent by normal postal mail to those who are selected in the computer random draw for further processing. Email or Fax or Phone was not used to announce the DV lottery winners.

All those people who had applied for the U.S visa lottery DV 2010 were provided facility to check their status online from July 1, 2009, until June 30, 2010 in the US diversity visa lottery official web site. DV 2010 online result check was closed on 30th June 2010. Now no one can check the DV 2010 online result.

Now the web site only allows DV 2011 applicants to check their status online.

The congressionally mandated Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is administered on an annual basis by the Department of State and conducted under the terms of Section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). Section 131 of the Immigration Act of 1990 (Pub. L. 101-649) amended INA 203 and provides for a class of immigrants known as "diversity immigrants." Section 203(c) of the INA provides a maximum of 55,000 Diversity Visas (DV) each fiscal year to be made available to persons from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.

DV 2010 program did accepted entries from eligible people from October 2, 2008, till December 1, 2008 electronically in the internet. Now application forms can't be submitted for the DV 2010 program as the web site is closed and the program also closed from accepting new entries. Computers at the KCC will randomly selected nearly 102,800 people to issue 50,000 immigrant visas from the submitted 13.6 million entries. The results were been sent by normal postal mail to the winner's addresses. For this the addresses in the DV application form was used to post the winning notifications.

Also there were further instruction and the related visa fees information was be included in the packet. Those who are not selected for further processing will not get any notification.

Second letters will be sent to those selected people by normal post and the visa interviews will start on 1st of October 2009 and the program will be closed on 30th September 2010. Winners in the USA can contact the USCIS office to change their status when their case numbers become current according to the visa bulletin.

It is seriously advised that those selected people, not to proceed with DV 2010 selection if they don't have the required education or work experience or if they can't claim an eligible country. Other wise they may be refused of the required visas at the diversity visa interview and loose their visa fees of US $ 755 too.
Also if you didn't include your spouse or eligible children in the application form at the time of the application in the year 2008 don't proceed with your application.

If you meet the eligibility requirement you can apply for the coming visa lottery DV 2012 in the year 2010.
